This article highlights the transformation of Madhya Pradesh into a power-surplus state, with key emphasis on renewable energy initiatives and employee welfare measures announced by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has significantly increased its power generation capacity from 29,000 MW, enabling it to shift from a power-deficit state to a power-surplus one.

The state is also placing a strong focus on renewable energy, with clean energy accounting for 30% of its total power capacity. This shift has been supported by substantial investment proposals worth over ₹53,000 crore at the Invest Madhya Pradesh programme in Dubai, with solar energy and green hydrogen receiving the highest interest.

In terms of employee welfare, more than 9,000 engineers and employees have been promoted, addressing a long-standing issue. Various allowances have been revised, benefiting nearly 25,000 officers and employees. Three pay anomalies concerning engineers in the power companies have also been resolved.

A cashless mediclaim insurance scheme has been implemented for engineers and employees, and a solar rooftop scheme introduced for the same group under the company cadre in Madhya Pradesh’s power companies.

In addition to these developments, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized the state government's commitment to continuously taking decisions in the interest of its employees. Over 85,000 posts have been filled across various departments, and more promotions are planned.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also acknowledged the role of festivals and traditions in inspiring progress, with engineers, officers, and employees playing a crucial role in ensuring an uninterrupted power supply.
