Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan begins the fourth phase of the drug-free Punjab campaign in Bathinda, accompanied by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan is set to flag off the fourth phase of the Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra today from Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda. This campaign aims to address three significant challenges currently faced by Punjab: the escalating drug problem, deteriorating law and order, and corruption at various levels of governance. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will accompany Chouhan during this initiative.
Yesterday, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal addressed a gathering in Fazilka, where he initiated the third phase of the Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra. He emphasized that the campaign is not a political venture but an endeavor for social reform to transform Punjab into Viksit Punjab. Meghwal urged people not to view the initiative through a political lens.
During his speech, Meghwal referred to the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji that discourage the consumption of substances affecting human minds, intellect, and discretion. He interacted with families affected by drug addiction who have experienced loss due to this issue and expressed their sorrow.
