Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav chairs a meeting to discuss changes aimed at increasing revenue for Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation, with a focus on establishing a revenue-generating body and expediting project completion.
On Monday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav chaired the fifth meeting of the Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation Limited at Mantralaya. During the session, he emphasized the necessity to establish a revenue-generating body to increase the corporation's income by developing new and alternative revenue sources.
The Board of Directors gave an in-principle approval to this proposal. Dr. Yadav directed that the 'Revenue Generating Body' be constituted at the earliest.
Chief Minister Yadav also directed that major building projects executed by the Building Development Corporation should be completed ahead of their scheduled deadlines. He specifically mentioned the construction of the Jan-Man Auditorium at the Chief Minister’s Residence, which is being developed for direct public interaction and should be completed before the Global Investors Summit scheduled for January 2027.
Furthermore, Dr. Yadav approved two significant proposals of the Corporation. The first authorizes the Managing Director to approve or reject all tenders with a Probable Amount of Contract (PAC) up to ₹25 crore. The second proposal entails creating two new posts—General Manager (Tender) and General Manager (Redensification)—under the General Manager (Technical) cadre as part of the Corporation’s organizational structure.
During the meeting, the Managing Director briefed the Board on the building projects being executed by the Corporation. He informed that the Public Works Department has allotted a total of 763 projects to the Building Development Corporation, with the total construction cost of the active projects amounting to ₹10,994 crore.
