On a visit to Akashvani Leh today, Rajiv Kumar Jain, the Director General, conducted a comprehensive review of the station's functioning. The meeting with officers and staff included detailed discussions about programme production, news gathering, news production, audience outreach, content quality, and the role of public service broadcasting in Ladakh.
During the review, emphasis was placed on the station's programming initiatives, particularly local content, preservation and promotion of the region's cultural heritage, and effective information dissemination to remote and border areas. The Director General acknowledged the efforts of Akashvani Leh in serving diverse audiences through quality broadcasts in various languages and dialects of the region.
