Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated a PET-CT scan centre at Government MY Hospital, collaborating with Sri Aurobindo Hospital under the PPP model. The centre aims to improve treatment of serious diseases.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated a Positron Emission Tomography (PET)-Computed Tomography (CT) scan centre at the New Cancer Hospital Block of Government MY Hospital in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The initiative is a collaboration between the state government and Sri Aurobindo Hospital under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. According to Dr. Yadav, this marks an expansion of healthcare facilities across the state, with similar state-of-the-art centres planned for four other medical colleges—Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal; Gajra Raja Medical College, Gwalior; Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur; and Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa.
In his address, Dr. Yadav highlighted the rapid progress of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, with significant advances in healthcare. He cited the Ayushman Bharat scheme as a key factor making medical treatment more accessible to the common people. The establishment of such advanced medical centres is expected to improve the treatment of serious diseases by enabling faster diagnosis and timely treatment, thereby helping save lives.
Dr. Yadav emphasised Indore's leading role in Madhya Pradesh and the country in cleanliness, healthcare, and industry, and its new benchmarks in service and philanthropy. With the new facility, cancer patients in Indore will no longer need to travel outside the city for PET-CT scans. Dr. Yadav also mentioned plans to further expand the centre and make similar healthcare facilities available in other districts of the state.
During his visit, Dr. Yadav inspected the PET-CT scan centre and received information from doctors at Sri Aurobindo Hospital about the advanced equipment. Dr. Vinod Bhandari, head of Sri Aurobindo Hospital, commended the state government's efforts to facilitate private healthcare facilities to improve patient care. He announced plans to establish a robotic surgery centre at the hospital within the next three months, with the support of Sri Aurobindo Hospital.
