Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, emphasized the importance of youth participation in politics and encouraged young people to contribute to strengthening democracy. At the inaugural ceremony of 'Sansad Youth Parliament 2026', extensive consultations were held on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Madhya Pradesh.

At the 'Sansad Youth Parliament 2026', Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the importance of youth participation in politics, encouraging young people to contribute to strengthening democracy. This event was held at the Vidhan Parishad in the Assembly Building on Thursday and was organized by Sakaar Drishti Social Foundation and Kaleidohope, Nagpur.

In his address, Dr. Yadav highlighted the sacrifices made by freedom fighters like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, who rejected a career in the Indian Civil Service after clearing the ICS examination and joined the freedom movement.

The Chief Minister also spoke about the initiative to connect the youth with democracy, parliamentary traditions, and policy-making. He expressed his gratitude for seeing young people from across the country coming together to deliberate on India's future.

During the event, extensive consultations were held on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Madhya Pradesh, with suggestions received from various districts and communities. It was noted that 76% of Muslim women supported the UCC. Madhya Pradesh is among the leading large states in the country to have passed a Bill towards implementation of the UCC.

Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar also addressed the ceremony, stating that organizing the Youth Parliament at the Vidhan Parishad was like witnessing a miniature India. He emphasized the role of youth in shaping their own development and the country's future.

Dilip Buildcon CMD Shri Dilip Suryavanshi also appreciated the efforts made by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav towards promoting industrial development in Madhya Pradesh, which is expected to create employment opportunities on a large scale.
