
Dr. Mohan Yadav inspects the ongoing restoration work at the Veer Bharat Museum, emphasizing traditional construction methods and setting a completion date.
On Thursday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav conducted a surprise inspection of the under-construction restoration work at the Veer Bharat Museum located in Kothi Mahal, Ujjain. During the visit, he examined the construction materials being used for the restoration and interacted with workers and artisans on-site. The Chief Minister directed that traditional construction methods be followed to preserve the building's original character and no compromises should be made regarding the quality of the work.
Smt. Sangeeta Bais, an official from The Dharohar company, briefed the Chief Minister on the completed restoration work and current project progress during the inspection. She also informed him that Phase I of the Veer Bharat Museum restoration project is currently underway and will soon progress to Phase II.
Phase II will focus on reviving the building's original architectural features, along with interior design, landscaping of the surrounding premises, site development, and the creation of a well-planned parking facility. The officials informed the Chief Minister that the restoration project is expected to be completed by November 2026.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also closely reviewed the historic building's structural condition and directed officials and the executing agency not to make any alterations to its historical and traditional architectural features. He stressed that the restoration should be undertaken in a manner that preserves the building's original design, architectural grandeur, and historical identity.
The inspection was attended by MLA Shri Anil Jain Kalukheda, MLA Shri Satish Malviya, Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Housing Board Shri Om Jain, Chairman of the Ujjain Development Authority Shri Ravi Solanki, Chairman Shri Sanjay Agrawal, ADG Shri Rakesh Gupta, Divisional Commissioner Shri Ashish Singh, Collector Shri Roshan Kumar Singh, Municipal Commissioner Shri Abhilash Mishra, SP Shri Pradeep Sharma, and other public representatives.
