
The Union Minister of Law and Justice provides detailed information on budget estimates, expenditure, and initiatives taken under various projects in the State of Odisha.
Funds have been released to all High Courts under eCourts Project Phase III, NALSA, Gram Nyayalayas, and DISHA 2.0 (Tele-Law Programme) across the country, including in the state of Odisha. In Odisha, 16 ADR Centres are functioning in 16 districts, with Mediation Centres operating in the remaining 14 districts. For online adjudication of traffic challans, one virtual court has been set up in Odisha. The status of courts under these projects, legal aid clinics, and Gram Nyayalayas is available district-wise in Odisha. Adequate budgetary provisions are made for additional judicial infrastructure, digital literacy programs, and legal aid facilities across the country, including in all tribal and aspirational districts in Odisha.
Under eCourts Project, digital services such as e-Filing, e-Pay, Virtual Courts, video conferencing, and the National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) have been implemented. Tele-Law services are available through Common Service Centres (CSCs) to provide pre-litigation legal advice. Under the Gram Nyayalayas Scheme, a total of 24 Gram Nyayalayas have been made operational in Odisha.
As on 30.06.2026, more than 1.13 Crore pre-litigation advice has been provided to the beneficiaries under Tele-Law in Odisha.
