The Election Commission is organizing special camps today across all polling stations in Delhi to assist citizens with voter enrollment, objections, and corrections to electoral rolls. Additionally, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) can consider documents other than those listed in the notice during hearings on a case-by-case basis.
The Election Commission of India has announced a day-long drive, taking place today, to provide assistance to citizens at polling stations located throughout the national capital. The aim is to help individuals with fresh inclusions, objections for proposed inclusions or deletions of name in electoral rolls, and corrections to particulars in the electoral rolls.
Booth Level Officers will be present at designated polling booths to receive applications. Citizens can submit Form 6 for new voter enrollment, Form 7 for objections or deletion of entries, and Form 8 for any corrections or updating of details in the electoral rolls.
Addressing the media regarding the ongoing Special Summary Revision (SIR) process in Delhi, Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Ashok Kumar has clarified that Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) can consider documents other than those listed in the notice during hearings on a case-by-case basis.
