The Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) completed Special Campaign 6.0, achieving cleanliness and office-space improvements at over 8,000 sites nationwide. The campaign generated revenue of over ₹14 lakh and freed more than 4,000 square feet of space.

The Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) have concluded Special Campaign 6.0 through focused cleanliness and office-space improvement activities across their establishments throughout the country.

Activities under the campaign encompassed record management, digitisation, plantation, environmentally friendly practices, citizen-centric services, scrap disposal, electronic waste management, and enhanced office spaces. Over 13,000 physical and electronic files were weeded out during the process, generating a revenue of over ₹14 lakh and liberating more than 4,000 square feet of space.

Officials across institute campuses conducted awareness camps to sensitise people about the importance of cleanliness. Free medical camps were also organised at several campuses. Felicitation of Safai Mitras has also been a continuing practice.

In addition, extensive cleaning drives were carried out in farms, fields, and roads surrounding the campuses. Particular attention was given to keeping metal and plastic waste separate from general waste, thereby improving cleanliness.

Special Campaign 6.0 promoted responsible waste management and cleanliness around workplaces. The cleanliness achievements under the campaign exceeded the targets set.
