Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, on November 4, 2026, during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Antigua and Barbuda. The meeting aimed to discuss strengthening cooperation in various areas including trade, energy, agriculture, infrastructure development, digital technology, and capacity building. Three agreements were signed between the two countries: a) Supply and Installation of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) Manufacturing Projects, b) Grant Assistance for Implementation of Quick Impact Projects (QIPs), and c) Cooperation in the Field of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and the Functioning of a Unified Payments Interface (UPI)-like System in Guyana.
