The National Health Authority (NHA) launches the Secure Data Environment and Auto-Adjudication Framework to streamline and strengthen claims adjudication under AB PM-JAY, utilizing technology and data-driven processes.
On September 25, 2026, the National Health Authority (NHA) announced the launch of a Secure Data Environment and Auto-Adjudication Framework aimed at enhancing the efficiency and integrity of claims processing under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). The Secure Data Environment is envisioned as a governed environment for access to and analysis of AB PM-JAY and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) health data.
The Auto-Adjudication Framework, developed by the NHA with support from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, will facilitate technology and data-driven claims processing under AB PM-JAY. The initiative aims to improve program integrity and streamline the adjudication process.
The Secure Data Environment is intended to facilitate health research, programme planning, outcome analysis, and responsible AI innovation while incorporating safeguards for the protection of personal data.
