On the opening day of the Pickleball World Cup 2026, held in Da Nang, Vietnam, India remained unbeaten. The tournament is scheduled to conclude on the 6th of this month. In the Team Event, India defeated Antigua and Barbuda, Israel, and the Czech Republic. India registered dominant victories over Antigua and Barbuda and Israel, winning both ties 6-0. Against the Czech Republic, India emerged victorious with a score of 5-1, securing the top position in the league stage. The team will now face Portugal in the Round of 32. India's Senior squad also performed exceptionally well, defeating Germany and Nepal 4-0 each to advance to the Round of 32. So far, India has bagged a total of 37 medals in the tournament, including six gold, 16 silver, and 15 bronze. With an unbeaten record in the team league stage, India currently holds the 4th position in the medal tally.
