Shri Kiren Rijiju will head the Indian delegation for the High-Level Commemorative Meeting in Belgrade, Serbia from August 31 – September 1, 2026. The meeting is themed 'The Legacy of Non-Alignment: Lessons for Today’s World', and commemorates the 65th anniversary of the first gathering of HoS/HoG of the Non-Aligned Movement.
On August 29, 2027, the Ministry of External Affairs announced that Shri Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, will lead the Indian delegation during the High-Level Commemorative Meeting. The event, scheduled from August 31 to September 1, 2026 in Belgrade, Serbia, is designed to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the first gathering of Heads of State/Government (HoS/HoG) of the Non-Aligned Movement.
The theme for this significant gathering is 'The Legacy of Non-Alignment: Lessons for Today’s World'. As a founding member, India continues to uphold the principles and values of this movement. The Non-Aligned Movement unites 121 developing countries on a platform of historical significance.
