Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav, has stressed that Balram Krishi Mahotsav is not just a farmers' festival but a celebration of India's rich agricultural culture. He advocated for the event to be celebrated as a cultural festival. Currently being held across all districts in the state, the festival features exhibitions showcasing advanced agricultural practices. The high participation of farmers and rural residents indicates their eagerness and voluntary association with the event.
Dr. Yadav further suggested that the Culture Department should organise various cultural activities during Balram Krishi Mahotsav and utilise this opportunity to educate farmers about India's cultural heritage and the achievements of the state government in an engaging and entertaining manner.
Independence Day preparations were also discussed at a review meeting. Dr. Yadav called for comprehensive arrangements for Kanwariyas traveling during the holy month of Shravan towards Shiva temples, ensuring their smooth movement, food, drinking water, and security.
Bharat Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas is set to be observed on August 14. A painting exhibition will be organised at the Shaurya Smarak, with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurating and visiting the exhibition. The Chief Minister will also inaugurate 'Pravasi Senani Veethi' at Shaurya Smarak, honouring overseas Indians and Indian freedom fighters for their significant contributions to the freedom struggle.
On Independence Day, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will offer a floral wreath at the Shaheed Stambh and pay tribute at the statue of Bharat Mata at Shaurya Smarak, Bhopal. Later in the evening, a 'Grand Festival of Freedom' programme will be held in the Hansdhwani Auditorium of Ravindra Bhavan, featuring a musical performance by Smt. Kavita Krishnamurti.
