Chief Secretary Ashok Barnwal reviews feedback from district officials on the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan, emphasizing its transparency, citizen-centric approach, and key focus areas.
Chief Secretary Shri Ashok Barnwal has urged Collectors and Heads of Departments to make the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan a transparent and satisfactory mechanism for ensuring that citizens receive maximum benefits from government services and beneficiary-oriented schemes provided by the State Government. During a meeting held at Mantralaya on Saturday, Shri Barnwal reviewed feedback from district officials who participated in the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan the previous day.
The Chief Secretary appreciated the work carried out by all officials involved in the campaign and highlighted an achievement from Chhindwara where a blackberry farmer employed 500 people. He emphasized that such entrepreneurs and achievers should be actively engaged with during the campaign, and their issues addressed. Shri Barnwal stressed that the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan aims to enable district officials to deliver better results with a citizen-centric approach.
The Chief Secretary directed officials to ensure 100 per cent resolution of complaints and grievances, assess ground-level implementation of schemes and programs, and establish an effective monitoring mechanism to make administration more sensitive and responsive. He indicated that necessary positive changes would be introduced based on the discussions held during the meeting.
In addition to this, Shri Barnwal directed Collectors to ensure prompt delivery of essential services requiring continuous attention, such as health services, handpump functioning, tap-water supply schemes, transformer status, school enrolment, and ambulance availability. He also reviewed initiatives such as Aadhaar Card, APAAR ID, and PARAKH.
During the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Neeraj Mandloi made a presentation on the key pillars of the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan and their implementation. He asked Collectors to work in accordance with the guidelines issued by the General Administration Department. The campaign will focus on resolution of complaints and grievances, public and enterprise dialogue, inspections, and law and order.
Additional Secretary Shri Sudhir Kochar made a presentation on achievements recorded by various districts and departments under the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan.
