Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressing the Balram Krishi Mahotsav in Rajgarh

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addresses Balram Krishi Mahotsav in Rajgarh and outlines various initiatives for farmers' welfare and agricultural growth, along with the development of Rajgarh as an industrial hub.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the Balram Krishi Mahotsav organised in Rajgarh from his residence in Bhopal. The event was attended by Minister for Skill Development and Employment Shri Gautam Tetwal and other public representatives. During his address, Dr. Yadav outlined several initiatives aimed at agricultural development and farmers' welfare as part of 'Krishak Kalyan Varsh'.

The state government is coordinating with 16 departments to implement these initiatives. Farmers are encouraged to pursue agriculture with dedication and hard work, and arrangements will be made to provide 10 hours of daytime power supply for farming from the next season. The government's objective is not only to double farm income but also to create additional income opportunities through fisheries, animal husbandry, and dairy production.

Under this plan, Madhya Pradesh aims to increase milk production under the Sanchi brand from 12% to 20%. Rajgarh is also being developed as an industrial hub with several development projects initiated by the state government. The expansion of highways and the Mohanpura-Kundaliya Dam have improved irrigation facilities in the district, while the Chambal-Kalisindh-Parvati Link Project will bring further benefits.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that 10.4 million metric tonnes of wheat had been procured from wheat-producing farmers at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The state government has expanded irrigation facilities to 6.5 million hectares across Madhya Pradesh, and farmers have benefited from Bhavantar payment support for soybean and Kisan Samman Nidhi funds directly transferred into their bank accounts. Funds are also being provided to women beneficiaries under the Ladli Behna Scheme.

Dr. Yadav highlighted the Kavach Scheme, which enables farmers to obtain bank loans and crop loans again, easing their concerns and helping them reconnect with the formal banking system.
