The Madhya Pradesh Government is organizing a two-day summit to discuss measures for enhancing the state's passenger transport system, particularly focusing on the CM Sugam Parivahan Seva Yojana.

On September 11 and 12, 2026, the Government of Madhya Pradesh will host the Passenger Transport Vision Summit-2026 at Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore. The event is being organized by the Transport Department with the objective of making passenger transport services smarter, more accessible, and safer across the state.

The summit will bring together state government officials, private bus operators, policymakers, experts, and industry representatives to deliberate on measures to strengthen the state’s passenger transport system, with a primary focus on the CM Sugam Parivahan Seva Yojana.

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, will inaugurate the event.

Shri Rao Uday Pratap Singh, Minister of School Education and Transport, will attend the event as the Guest of Honour. Madhya Pradesh Yatri Parivahan and Infrastructure Limited is organizing the summit in collaboration with Elets Technomedia.

The initiative aims to promote discussions and partnerships to build a more connected, financially viable, digitally enabled, and citizen-centric passenger transport ecosystem in the state. It reflects the state government’s commitment to strengthening passenger transport as a key component of connectivity and economic growth. The summit will go beyond policy discussions by promoting direct dialogue and partnerships between government decision-makers and implementation partners.

Madhya Pradesh’s Passenger Transport Vision to be at Centre of Discussions

Madhya Pradesh’s passenger transport vision and future mobility system will be among the key focus areas of the Passenger Transport Vision Summit-2026. The summit will place special emphasis on making passenger transport modern, accessible, and extensive, while increasing private-sector participation.

The summit will focus on seven key outcomes to accelerate the development of a modern and future-ready mobility system in the state. These include the Mobility Vision 2030 roadmap, promoting PPPs in the transport sector, a digital-first mobility framework, promoting clean mobility, creating pilot and investment opportunities, and strengthening government-industry collaboration.

Employment Opportunities to be Discussed

The summit will also focus on the potential for new employment opportunities through innovation and investment in the passenger transport sector. Experts will offer suggestions on enhancing public transport efficiency, increasing private-sector participation and leveraging modern technologies.

Eight Sessions to Deliberate on the Future of Passenger Transport

The summit will feature eight sessions covering a wide range of issues, including making passenger transport accessible, safe, smart, and pollution-free; investment through the PPP model under MP Mobility Vision-2030; promoting employment and entrepreneurship; financially sustainable bus operations; passenger safety; green mobility; clean fuels; integrated ticketing; and automated fare collection systems.

Objective is to Develop an Integrated and Modern Mobility Ecosystem

The CM Sugam Parivahan Seva aims to develop an integrated, modern, and efficient mobility ecosystem in Madhya Pradesh. The initiative will create significant opportunities across areas such as bus manufacturing, electric and hydrogen mobility, intelligent transport systems, digital ticketing, fleet management, charging infrastructure, AI and analytics, smart bus stops, passenger information systems, Mobility-as-a-Service, and transport financing.
