Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasized the State Government's commitment to the welfare of farmers under Krishak Kalyan Varsh–2026, a series of initiatives aimed at promoting agricultural development and increasing farmers' incomes.
The first half of the year focused on workshops on advanced farming techniques and modern agricultural equipment. In the second half, the government is organizing Balram Krishi Mahotsavs across all districts of Madhya Pradesh until 13 November.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav virtually addressed the Balram Krishi Mahotsav in Khargone from Datia on Saturday, stating that the series of agricultural festivals began in Indore on 15 July, followed by a similar event in Alirajpur on 23 July.
As part of this initiative, Dr. Yadav announced an innovative move to enhance farmers' safety and well-being by distributing helmets to those who travel on two-wheelers for transporting milk and vegetables from villages to urban markets. He said the expansion of the irrigated area in Madhya Pradesh is progressing steadily, and adequate power supply has been ensured for farmers.
Under Krishak Kalyan Varsh, 16 departments have been brought together by the State Government to implement a comprehensive roadmap for enhancing farmers' incomes. This coordinated approach ensures holistic support for the farming community.
