Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav speaking at the International Renewable Energy Conference & Exhibition-2026

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav discusses Madhya Pradesh's commitment to non-fossil fuel energy, achievements, future plans, and ongoing projects at the International Renewable Energy Conference & Exhibition-2026.

At the 7th International Renewable Energy Conference & Exhibition-2026 in New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the state's dedication to clean energy and sustainable public transport by traveling via the Delhi Metro Airport Express Line, which extensively uses solar power for its operations. During the conference, Madhya Pradesh presented its renewable energy achievements and future roadmap through a comprehensive presentation.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh is fully committed to contributing to India's goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030. He highlighted that investment-friendly policies, robust infrastructure, and abundant natural resources are rapidly transforming the state into one of India's leading green energy hubs.

Madhya Pradesh's renewable energy capacity has increased nearly 25-fold over the past 12 years, rising from 438 MW to more than 11,000 MW. Over the past two years, the state has introduced dedicated policies for renewable energy, pumped hydro energy storage, and biomass, creating new opportunities for investment and innovation.

The Chief Minister highlighted several key initiatives, including the 750 MW Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Project, which set a national benchmark by achieving a solar tariff lower than coal-based power for the first time in India. The project received the World Bank Group President's Award for Excellence, and its innovative initiatives are positioning Madhya Pradesh as a national leader in energy storage and round-the-clock renewable energy supply.
