The Madhya Pradesh State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav approved a series of major decisions worth ₹32,070 crore for various development projects aimed at farmers' welfare, healthcare services, sports infrastructure, digital governance, and service conditions for the teaching cadre under the Tribal Affairs Department.

In a significant move towards holistic development, Madhya Pradesh State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav approved a series of major decisions totaling ₹32,070 crore during a meeting held at Mantralaya on Tuesday. The key focus areas include farmers' welfare, strengthening healthcare services, expanding sports infrastructure, enhancing digital governance and improving service conditions for the teaching cadre under the Tribal Affairs Department.

One of the notable decisions was the approval of the Cooperation Department's Kavach Scheme to benefit over 5,000 farmers associated with cooperative societies. These farmers have been unable to avail themselves of benefits under various government schemes due to prolonged investigations into their loan accounts. The scheme aims to bring these farmers back into the formal credit system, enabling them to access fresh institutional loans.

Other approved decisions include ₹12,517.99 crore for the operation of District and Civil Hospitals and Dispensaries from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2031, with an aim to ensure smooth functioning and improve healthcare services. The Cabinet also approved ₹11,812.02 crore for strengthening and expanding primary healthcare services, ₹2,448.79 crore for continued implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), ₹1,704.81 crore for the prevention and control of malaria and other vector-borne diseases, and ₹2,460.57 crore for the development and upgradation of sports stadiums and sports infrastructure.

The Cabinet also approved a one-time equity support of ₹25 crore to create a ₹50 crore fund by Apex Bank and District Cooperative Banks to provide relief to farmers affected due to irregularities. Furthermore, the Fourth Time-Bound Promotional Pay Scale for Assistant Teachers, Higher Secondary Teachers, Primary Teachers and Secondary Teachers under the Tribal Affairs Department's teaching cadre was approved with effect from July 1, 2023 or a later eligible date.
