Meghalaya Chief Secretary Dr. Shakil P. Ahammed called for an inclusive Census 2027 during a state-level training conference in Shillong. He emphasized the significance of accurate population data for effective implementation of welfare schemes, as it would help identify gaps in healthcare, education, road connectivity and other essential services. To achieve this, he urged officials to focus on remote areas and vulnerable communities, ensuring no one is left out of government programmes.
