This article details the events of a 'Tiranga March' organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in Mumbai, where several supporters were detained by the police despite not receiving official permission.
On Friday, Mumbai Police took action against protesters participating in a 'Tiranga March' at Carter Road in Bandra, as called by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). According to the party, their supporters were detained by the Vakola and Bandra police due to the lack of official permission.
CJP volunteer Purva Khetan also alleged that some students were prevented from leaving their place of stay in Vakola, Santacruz East. She informed Scroll that the police did not provide a reason for preventing the students from leaving.
However, Vakola Senior Police Inspector Navnath Ghuge stated to Scroll that no one was taken to the police station. He explained that the police had not allowed a few persons who seemed suspicious and refused to provide their names and residential details to leave their place of stay.
This incident follows a similar 'Tiranga March' organized in Delhi on Friday, during which CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke was detained and later placed under preventive arrest.
