During this operation, troops observed suspicious activity, leading to a brief search that escalated into a gunfight. The hiding terrorist opened fire on the security forces, resulting in the neutralisation of one terrorist during the ensuing encounter. In addition to the loss of life, an AK rifle and other war-like stores were recovered from the spot. As of the last report, a search operation was still ongoing in the area.
