The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has called upon citizens to celebrate National Handloom Day on 7th August by promoting India's rich and diverse handloom traditions. He encourages the sharing of videos featuring favourite handloom products, including 'Get Ready With Me' (GRWM) videos on social media.
On his official Twitter handle, Shri Modi posted a message asking citizens to share their videos with their favourite handloom products and use the hashtag #NationalHandloomDay. He emphasized that this action would help make India’s handloom diversity popular. The post also specified that the celebration is taking place on 7th August.
In addition, Shri Modi requested that citizens should not forget to include #NationalHandloomDay in their social media posts.
