On September 14, 2026, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, expressed his greetings to all citizens on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. He hoped that the sacred festival of worshipping and seeking the blessings of Vighnaharta, Lord Ganesha, would infuse everyone’s lives with new energy and enthusiasm. The Prime Minister prayed that, with the divine blessings of Lord Ganesha, everyone’s efforts would succeed and the nation would continue to progress on the path of development.
In addition, the Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam, which conveys his reverence to Lord Shri Vinayaka. The verse describes Lord Vinayaka as one whose sacred hands are adorned with modakas; who forever guides seekers on the path of liberation; who wears the crescent moon as an ornament upon his forehead; who is the protector of the entire universe and the sole supreme lord of the cosmos; who vanquished the demon Gajasura and who swiftly frees his devotees from all sorrows and afflictions.
The Prime Minister wrote on Twitter, 'देशवासियों को गणेश चतुर्थी की अनंत शुभकामनाएं…'.
