The death toll from the devastating flash floods in Nepal has reached 669, with over 2000 people still missing. The Indian government has increased its humanitarian assistance to Nepal, having rescued 88 Indian nationals.
The recent catastrophic flash floods in Nepal and Tibet have resulted in a substantial death toll of 669 individuals. More than 2000 individuals are currently unaccounted for as search and rescue operations continue across the affected districts of Nepal.
In response to this critical situation, India has ramped up its humanitarian assistance to Nepal. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed his concern over the crisis in Nepal, stating that India has been consistently sending aid to the neighboring country.
According to External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, 88 Indian nationals have been rescued so far following the flash flood disaster on Wednesday. However, 287 Indian nationals are reported missing, along with approximately 128 people of Indian origin holding other nationalities.
Mr. Jaiswal also announced that four Indian nationals were rescued today from a hydropower project in Rasuwa and that 120 Indian nationals crossed into Nepal from China today.
