In response to reports of unusual movement, security forces initiated a search operation within the Billawar forests that border Udhampur and Kathua districts in Jammu and Kashmir on today's date. This operation is part of regular procedures designed to maintain surveillance along the borders.
According to local residents, unidentified individuals are reported to have contacted a household in a village within the Billawar belt late on Wednesday night. However, the family did not respond, and upon investigation the following day, it was discovered that food from their home had disappeared, sparking speculation about an intrusion.
Superintendent of Police Kathua (Operations), Pritpal Singh, confirmed these routine operations are conducted to ensure vigilance in the border areas. He stated that such measures are implemented to maintain alertness.
