On October 1, 2026, a road accident occurred in Mizoram that resulted in the fatalities of three members of the Information and Broadcasting fraternity. The vehicle carrying the officials fell into a gorge while they were on official duty.

As Additional Director General, PIB Imphal, Dr. Pame played an important role in strengthening communication and coordination with media organisations and government departments across the Northeast.
