Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, has welcomed the decision made by the Union Cabinet under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to establish a bench of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir in Ladakh. This move is expected to significantly enhance access to justice for citizens living in remote areas of Ladakh by reducing travel time required for legal services.
According to a statement made by Mr. Shah on X, this decision will provide better access to justice for the citizens of Ladakh. The Government is fully committed to the all-round development of Ladakh and ensuring constitutional safeguards.
