On August 27, 2026, the Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Annpurna Devi, participated in the 'Khelo India Samvad' programme held at Grizzly College of Education, Jhumri Telaiya in Koderma, Jharkhand. The minister listened to the inspiring virtual address of the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.
In a post on her Twitter account, Devi stated that the participation of more than 10 lakh young people – including players, Olympians and medal winners – in this nationwide dialogue organised by MY Bharat reflects the growing enthusiasm and resolve of a new India towards sports. She further said that under the leadership of the Hon'ble Prime Minister, India today is taking sports forward not merely as competition, but as a powerful means of youth empowerment, discipline, self-confidence and nation building.
Echoing the spirit of the programme, Devi said: 'Khelega Bharat, Khilega Bharat' – translated to 'India will play, India will win'.
