Dr. Jitendra Singh will launch a dedicated online portal for monitoring the progress of Special Campaign 6, which aims to institutionalize Swachhata in government offices across India.

On September 15, 2026, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh is scheduled to launch the dedicated online web-portal (<https://scdpm.nic.in/SCDPM26>) for monitoring the progress of Special Campaign 6. The meeting will be attended by Nodal Officers from all 84 Ministries/Departments of the Government of India, as well as other officials such as Secretary DARPG, Secretary Posts, Secretary Coal, Secretary DoSEL, and Secretary Mines.

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has been acting as the nodal department since 2021 for coordinating and steering the Special Campaigns that are held every year for institutionalizing Swachhata and reducing pendency in Government Offices across the country. The Special Campaign 6 will be held from October 2, 2026, and will be preceded by a preparatory phase from September 16.

In the preparatory phase, Ministries/Departments will identify the pendency in selected categories, mobilize ground functionaries, finalize campaign sites, review records, undertake space management planning, and dispose of identified scrap. The best practices will be presented during the Good Governance Week 2026 from December 19.

Since 2021, through five editions of the Special Campaign (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, & 2025) and monthly Secretariat Reforms monitoring (up to July 2026), over 96 lakh items have been covered, over 60 lakh items have been weeded out/closed, and a revenue of more than Rs. 50 crores has been generated through scrap disposal. In Special Campaign 5 alone, nearly 3 lakh square meters of office space were freed, and around Rs. 2 crores were earned from scrap disposal.
