Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met with delegations from the OBC Mahasabha, emphasizing the importance of OBC reservation and the state government's commitment to a fair resolution. The government has convened an all-party meeting, consulted OBC organizations, and presented its case before the High Court.

On Friday morning, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held meetings with delegations of the Other Backwards Classes (OBC) Mahasabha at his official residence, Samatva Bhavan. The discussions revolved around the matter of OBC reservation in Madhya Pradesh, which the Chief Minister emphasized as a significant concern for the state government.

Dr. Yadav stated that the state administration had taken measures to ensure a fair and legally sound resolution for this issue. To that end, an all-party meeting was convened, and consultations were held with OBC organizations before presenting the case before the High Court. The Chief Minister reiterated that the government's aim was not to delay the resolution but rather to achieve a proper one.

In response to the delegations' memoranda regarding the Madhya Pradesh High Court's October 9, 2026 judgment on OBC reservation, Dr. Yadav announced that the state government had ordered a detailed examination of the judgment and instructed the Office of the Advocate General, Madhya Pradesh, to present the state's case strongly before the Supreme Court. The Special Leave Petition (SLP) was filed in the Supreme Court on Friday evening, October 16, 2026, in the case State of Madhya Pradesh vs. Ashita Dubey and Others.
