The Madhya Pradesh cabinet has approved funds for the expansion and improvement of various healthcare facilities across the state.
On July 19, 2026, the Madhya Pradesh (MP) cabinet approved funding worth 776 crores 13 lakhs for the enhancement of healthcare services in the state. This move aims to provide better and more accessible medical facilities to the residents. The cabinet decided to upgrade 73 primary health centers, 29 sub-health centers, 19 primary health centers to community health centers, 18 community health centers to civil hospitals, and 7 civil hospitals to larger ones. Additionally, 1600 sanctioned posts and 71 additional posts will be filled through the Outsourcing Agency for Health Services (OASHS).
This decision is expected to significantly improve healthcare facilities in various regions of the state, benefiting both rural and urban populations.
