The Monsoon Session of Parliament commenced on a turbulent note today as both Houses witnessed multiple adjournments following uproar by Opposition parties. The disruptions were not limited to the NEET paper leak case alone, as parties also protested over other issues.
In the Lok Sabha, which began with obituary references to six former Members who recently passed away, the House also paid tributes to Father Amir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani. However, the Question Hour could not be conducted due to protests by Opposition members from the Congress and the Samajwadi Party regarding various issues.
The Rajya Sabha also faced similar disruptions, leading to an early adjournment for the day.
