India's Saanvi Kalanki faced a five-game battle against the Netherlands’ Elcke Mols and emerged victorious with a score of 11-9, 9-11, 11-8, 7-11, 11-6.
In addition to these two players, Anika Dubey registered a straight-game win over Anna Kuwahara of Japan (11-7, 11-3, 11-5). Rudra Singh received a walkover from Khadija Abdulraheem of Nigeria.
