The Madhya Pradesh Government is implementing a plan to establish agricultural equipment rental shops in each Assembly constituency, aiming to benefit small farmers. Additionally, the state is excelling in the self-reliant manufacturing of agricultural machinery with significant domestic and international demand.

In response to instructions from Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Madhya Pradesh State Government is formulating plans to establish agricultural equipment rental shops in each Assembly constituency. This initiative, part of Krishank Kalyan Varsh–2026, is anticipated to significantly aid small and marginal farmers by providing them access to advanced farm machinery at affordable rates.

Currently, 5,260 agricultural equipment rental centres operate within the state. To reinforce the network, the Government plans to establish 1,060 new agricultural equipment rental shops annually.

Madhya Pradesh is making strides towards self-reliance in agricultural machinery manufacturing. Vidisha district serves as a model, producing high-quality implements such as graders, levellers, hydraulic trolleys, cultivators, and ploughs. The district accommodates nearly 150 agricultural equipment manufacturing units, and the machinery produced there finds demand not only within India but also in international markets.

Usha Agro, a company based in Madhya Pradesh, manufactures a wide range of agricultural machinery including loaders, unloaders, and cultivators. The business was started by Shri Manas Gupta's father in 1993 on a small scale and has since grown into an internationally recognized enterprise. Local farmers remain the company's largest customers, with most products being sold within the domestic market. However, the company also exports to several countries, including Nigeria, Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Ghana, Algeria, and the United Arab Emirates. Nearly two-thirds of the company's business comes from the domestic market, while one-third comes from exports. The company records an annual turnover of around ₹4 crore.

Sanjay Udyog, another enterprise in Vidisha, manufactures tractor implements such as cultivators and ploughs that help farmers prepare their fields efficiently. The company's products are supplied primarily in Vidisha and neighbouring districts, while also reaching other states. The enterprise records an annual turnover of around ₹50 lakh.

M/s Kisan Industries manufactures cultivators, ploughs, loaders, and unloaders with most of its products being sold in Vidisha and nearby areas, while farmers from neighbouring districts also purchase the equipment.

Agro Smart Technology manufactures machinery required for every stage of farming—from land preparation to transplantation, sowing, and harvesting. The majority of the company's products meet the demand of farmers in Vidisha and surrounding regions, while its market extends to other states as well.
