Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav interacting with social media influencers

Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, emphasizes the need for preservation and promotion of tribal culture, traditions, and folk arts during an interaction with social media influencers.

During his visit to Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar, Dr. Yadav interacted with young social media influencers from various districts who are promoting agriculture, tribal culture, rural development, and social awareness through digital platforms. He highlighted the potential of social media as a platform for creating public awareness, driving positive social change, and ensuring effective dissemination of government welfare schemes.

In addition to encouraging impactful digital content on various topics, Dr. Yadav announced that special schemes would be formulated by the State Government to preserve and promote tribal talent, folk arts, and cultural heritage. He emphasized the need for national and international recognition for tribal festivals and art forms such as Pithora painting.

In response to a question on women's empowerment, Dr. Yadav highlighted several flagship schemes implemented by the State Government for the holistic development of women. He also mentioned the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) recently approved by the State Cabinet in safeguarding the interests and rights of women.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also addressed concerns raised by the influencers, such as strengthening the marketing system for forest produce and securing a Geographical Indication (GI) tag for urad (black gram). He assured necessary efforts would be made to secure a GI tag for urad and encouraged its cultivation due to it being one of the state's major crops.

The Chief Minister also acknowledged the importance of preserving indigenous art forms and emphasized the need to secure national and international recognition for traditional tribal art forms such as Pithora painting. He honoured social media influencers for their outstanding contributions in this regard.
