Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, has called for collective efforts to prioritize mental health and combat stress-related issues, especially among young people, as part of the 'Stress-Free Madhya Pradesh' initiative.
On World Mental Health Day, October 10, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the growing concern of stress in modern life and its impact on physical and mental wellbeing, relationships, and lifestyles.
In his message, Dr. Yadav urged citizens to be mindful of their mental health for a 'Stress-Free Madhya Pradesh – Healthy Mind, Healthy Society and Empowered Madhya Pradesh'. He emphasized the need for collective efforts by the medical community and healthcare service providers in raising awareness about mental health issues.
According to Dr. Yadav, young people are particularly vulnerable to challenges such as substance abuse and violence due to stress, loneliness, anxiety, and emotional imbalance. Recognizing this concern, he highlighted the year-long 'Stress-Free Madhya Pradesh' initiative that commenced on World Mental Health Day.
The Chief Minister also acknowledged the meaningful work of volunteers from the Heartfulness organization, who, under the guidance of Shri Kamlesh Patel (Daaji), provide free meditation techniques and inner balance training to the public as part of this initiative. Dr. Yadav stressed that mental health should always be given equal importance as physical health.
He urged all citizens to participate in raising awareness about mental health and build a stress-free and healthy society in Madhya Pradesh.
