Indian Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has directed work to expand essential facilities for students in schools across Madhya Pradesh and the maximization of technology use for simplifying management processes.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a review meeting on strengthening infrastructure, maintenance, and operational systems in government schools at Samatva Bhawan, his residence, on Thursday. During the meeting, he emphasized the need to continue IT-based innovations for educational purposes. The Chief Minister also called for stakeholder support to strengthen school infrastructure, prioritizing new construction works.

The e-Attendance system has reportedly produced good results across the state, with an attendance rate of 95 per cent after making it mandatory for employees. The system is being studied by other states as well. The Chief Minister directed officials to continuously work towards improving all arrangements in schools and complete required works through focused campaigns.

Under the Integrated Scholarship Scheme, nearly 1.25 crore student beneficiaries have received benefits during the last two years, with a total of ₹696 crore provided to students. The Chief Minister also directed that a detailed, school-wise infrastructure development plan be prepared at the district level and sought support from industries and investors to improve school facilities.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister called for organizing alumni meets as an innovative initiative in school education, with the aim of mobilizing support for infrastructure development through various sources including CSR, District Mineral Foundation (DMF), MP and MLA funds, local institutions, public participation, and other alternative sources.
