The Chief Minister organised a cabinet meeting at the restored Jagdishpur Fort, screened a documentary on its history, and announced farmer-centric programmes as part of Krishak Kalyan Varsh (Farmer Welfare Year).
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav recently held a Cabinet meeting at the newly restored Jagdishpur Fort, located near Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. The fort was developed at a cost of ₹10 crore and symbolises the glorious heritage of the Gond dynasty as well as the Scindia and Rajput eras.
Before the meeting, a documentary showcasing the glorious history of Jagdishpur Fort and the State Government's efforts to conserve and restore the monument was screened. The Chief Minister inaugurated the fort on this occasion.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasised that Jagdishpur has stood as a witness to a long history of struggle, rich culture, and civilisation. He noted that Jagdishpur symbolises the glorious heritage of the Gond dynasty as well as the Scindia and Rajput eras. He said that the Cabinet meeting was organised at Jagdishpur as a mark of respect for its rich historical legacy and dedicated it to the ideals of equality and justice.
The Chief Minister also announced a series of farmer-centric programmes as part of Krishak Kalyan Varsh (Farmer Welfare Year). The ongoing Balram Krishi Mahotsav is encouraging farmers to adopt organic farming, use advanced agricultural machinery, diversify crops, and minimise the use of chemical pesticides.
In addition to this, the State Government has been holding special Cabinet meetings at places associated with eminent personalities who exemplified valour, good governance, public welfare, and public service. The Chief Minister congratulated the people of Madhya Pradesh on the completion of the Sleemanabad Water Tunnel, which will benefit numerous villages by providing irrigation facilities to more than 2.5 lakh hectares of agricultural land and ensuring drinking water supply to Katni city.
