Dr. Mohan Yadav pays tribute to late Pt. Ravishankar Shukla, the first Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, on his birth anniversary and acknowledges his significant contributions to nation-building.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of late Pt. Ravishankar Shukla, the first Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav paid floral tribute at the Central Hall of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Sunday. The event was attended by MLA Shri Bhagwandas Sabnani, officials of the Legislative Assembly, and family members of the late Pt. Shukla.
In his address, Dr. Yadav highlighted the dedication of Pt. Shukla towards nation-building, public welfare, and good governance. He emphasized Pt. Shukla's significant contributions to education, irrigation, industry, and public administration, which played a crucial role in laying the foundation of Madhya Pradesh's developmental policies.
Dr. Yadav also noted that Pt. Shukla actively participated in India's freedom movement. Before becoming the first Chief Minister of reorganized Madhya Pradesh, he served as the Chief Minister of the erstwhile Central Provinces and Berar (CP & Berar).
Late Pt. Ravishankar Shukla (2 August 1877 – 31 December 1956) was a renowned freedom fighter and the first Chief Minister of the reorganised State of Madhya Pradesh, assuming office on 1 November 1956 following its formation. He remained in the post until his demise on 31 December 1956.
