The event celebrated the birth anniversary of Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Maharaj, a world-renowned saint who founded the Bharat Mata Temple in Haridwar. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh attended and discussed preparations for Simhastha 2028.
On Saturday, Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, attended the 94th birth anniversary celebration of Anant Shri Vibhushit, retired Jagadguru Shankaracharya and Mahamandaleshwar, and world-renowned founder of the Bharat Mata Temple in Haridwar, Brahmaleen Pujyapad Gurudev Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Maharaj, in Ujjain. The Chief Minister expressed his respect for saints who dedicate their lives to society and guide it in the right direction, likening them to the Sun God. He also highlighted that the flag of Sanatan Dharma is flying across the country and the world. During the event, books were released by dignitaries. The Chief Minister noted Brahmaleen Gurudev Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Maharaj as an eminent exponent of Sanatan Dharma, Vedic culture and national consciousness who established the Bharat Mata Temple in Haridwar. He further stated that Ujjain continues to uphold its rich astrology traditions under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, and extended his greetings on the grand celebration. The Chief Minister also addressed preparations for Simhastha 2028 which are being undertaken comprehensively by the state government, with a focus on both infrastructure development and strengthening the spiritual dimension of the event.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and recitation of auspicious Vedic verses. The revered saints and dignitaries were subsequently felicitated, followed by welcome remarks and blessings from the revered saints.
Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj also blessed the gathering. This was followed by the ceremonial worship of the Padukas (sacred footwear) of Brahmaleen Gurudev Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Maharaj.
