Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inspected the ongoing road-widening work and reviewed proposed development plans for Kanthal Square and the entrance of Shri Sati Mata Temple in Ujjain, ahead of Simhastha-2028. Local residents are voluntarily demolishing parts of their properties to facilitate the work.
On Thursday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inspected the road-widening work being carried out from Sati Gate to Gopal Mandir in Ujjain under Simhastha-2028.
A significant aspect of this project involves the widening of a 410-metre stretch, with PCC road construction completed along 310 metres. The Kanthal Square area will be beautified over 500 square metres using paver blocks. Notably, local residents and shopkeepers are voluntarily demolishing parts of their houses and shops to facilitate the work.
During his visit, Dr. Yadav was briefed about the construction plan and reviewed the design of proposed development works for Kanthal Square and the entrance of ancient Shri Sati Mata Temple. He walked from Sati Gate to Chhota Sarafa Square to inspect the road-widening work.
Collector Shri Raushan Kumar Singh and Municipal Commissioner Shri Abhilash Mishra briefed Dr. Yadav about the development plan. The review was attended by various public representatives and administrative officials, including MP Shri Anil Firojiya, Rajya Sabha MP Bal Yogi Sant Shri Umesh Nath Maharaj, Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal, MLA Shri Anil Jain Kalukheda, Ujjain Development Authority Chairman Shri Ravi Solanki, City President Shri Sanjay Agrawal, Fair Authority Chairman Shri Jagdish Agrawal and others.
