On August 23, 2026, Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, visited the flood-stricken Gulab Nagar area in Rewa. During his tour, he announced the construction of a drainage channel from Acharya Nagar through Phulmati Nala to Amahiya Nala.
The project is aimed at enhancing the efficient drainage of floodwater across a significant portion of the city. It will begin at Acharya Nagar and traverse through Phulmati Nala, ultimately ending at Amahiya Nala.
Dr. Yadav's announcement comes as a response to the ongoing flood issues in the affected areas.
The initiative is expected to alleviate flood-related problems in the affected areas of Rewa city.
