Security forces unearthed a substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from a Maoist hideout in the Bhejji police station area of Sukma district, following intelligence provided by surrendered rebels. The recovery took place during a joint operation conducted by multiple security units.

The discovery was made following intelligence provided by surrendered Maoists and occurred during a joint search operation carried out yesterday by the District Force, District Reserve Guard, and Bastar Fighters.
The operation targeted forest and hilly areas in Bhandarpadar and Munurkonda. During the mission, 23 weapons, including SLRs, rifles, BGL launchers, and muzzle-loading guns were seized. Additionally, 492 live rounds of different calibres, 240 gelatin sticks, 18 kilograms of gunpowder, five country-made hand grenades, and a large quantity of BGL cells were recovered.
Police have stated that search operations to locate more Maoist hideouts and dumps in the area will continue.
