Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan discussed the government's infrastructure building efforts to create two million professionals, protection from piracy, and initiatives for young talent at the International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir.

At the valedictory function of the International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan stated that the government is making efforts to build necessary infrastructure with the aim of creating two million professionals in the film industry. He also emphasized the role of creative economy reforms in protecting producers from piracy. The festival, which was initiated following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's invitation to filmmakers to shoot and make films in Kashmir in 2019, according to Dr. Murugan, belongs to the youth of the region who are showcasing their talent. During his speech, he congratulated the Jammu and Kashmir Government for organizing the event. In addition, Dr. Murugan awarded 'Tasrufdaar (The Djinns of Kashmir)' as the best film from J&K select section. Secretary of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Chanchal Kumar was also present at the occasion. He appreciated the festival's success in bringing together filmmakers and cinema professionals. He highlighted Jammu and Kashmir's contributions to Indian cinema, mentioning that hosting the festival marks a new chapter in the region's history.
