The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for rainfall over Odisha for the next two days, according to Akashvani News. The Weather Department also forecasts heavy rainfall tomorrow in parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh and Gangetic West Bengal.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in various other regions as well, including Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Vidarbha.
The Weather Agency has also predicted thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, and Odisha. Similar weather conditions are expected tomorrow over Bihar, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and West Madhya Pradesh.
