Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav lauded the exceptional performances of Indian boxers at the Commonwealth Games 2026 held in Glasgow, Scotland. Preeti Pawar clinched gold in the women's 54 kg event, Jaismine Lamboria secured gold in the women's 57 kg category, and Jadumani Singh Mandengbam won silver in the men's 55 kg event.
The Chief Minister extended his warm congratulations and best wishes to these athletes, expressing pride over their historic achievements that have made the entire nation proud. He emphasized that India's women boxers' gold success would inspire countless young girls across the country.
Furthermore, Dr. Yadav also congratulated Praveen Chithravel for winning a silver medal and Selva Prabhu Thirumaran for securing a bronze medal in the triple jump event. The Chief Minister said that the Indian athletes have brought great pride to the nation through their medal-winning performances.
It may be noted that the Commonwealth Games 2026, which commenced on July 23, are scheduled to conclude on August 2, 2026. As of now, India has won 30 medals, including 8 gold, 15 silver, and 7 bronze medals.
