Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has initiated a doorstep campaign to create Farmer IDs across Madhya Pradesh, announced that fertilisers will be provided in advance at zero per cent interest, and expressed confidence in making Shivpuri a leading agricultural district.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched a campaign on August 20 to create Farmer IDs, aimed at eliminating the need for farmers to visit offices or stand in long queues. Government teams will reportedly visit farmers at their doorsteps to facilitate the creation of their Farmer IDs.

In his virtual address at the Balaram Krishi Mahotsav in Piparsama, Shivpuri district, Yadav also announced that fertilisers would be provided in advance at zero per cent interest to ensure that lack of funds does not become an obstacle for any farmer. He said, “We will not allow even a single line of worry to appear on the farmer’s forehead.

Yadav noted the recognition that Shivpuri's peanuts have earned nationwide. He encouraged farmers to explore other income-generating sectors such as horticulture, dairy farming, fisheries, and animal husbandry. The Chief Minister also expressed confidence in making Shivpuri a leading agricultural district by standing with farmers.

In addition to these measures, Yadav announced that farmers would receive electricity throughout the day for gram and sugarcane cultivation from the following year, ending the problem of night-time power supply. He also mentioned the benefits of the E-Vikas 2.0 system, which allows farmers to obtain fertilisers according to their requirements and purchase any one fertiliser without needing to buy it in combination with another.

Furthermore, Yadav announced that public representatives and a large number of farmers attended the Balaram Krishi Mahotsav in Shivpuri. He also extended Raksha Bandhan greetings to all farmers, particularly Ladli Behnas, and mentioned that financial assistance under the Ladli Behna Yojana had been transferred to their bank accounts ahead of the festival.

Yadav further stated that the government is implementing several welfare schemes to improve farmers’ profitability in agriculture. He said that farmers were earlier required to repay their loans by March 31. This deadline has now been removed, providing greater flexibility. Farmers can repay their loans at any time during the year.

Lastly, he highlighted that the E-Vikas system has been made more effective, convenient, simple and farmer-friendly under E-Vikas 2.0. Under this system, farmers will be able to obtain fertilisers according to their requirements and purchase any one fertiliser of their choice without being required to buy it in combination with another.
